As the Logistics Service Providers Association (LojiDer), we visited Mr. Fatih YILMAZKARASU, General Manager of Railport Terminal İşletmeleri A.Ş., at his office in Kocaeli on 2 September 2026.

During the visit, LojiDer Chairman of the Board, Dr. Kayıhan Özdemir TURAN, and Board Member Ms. Ceren EKER GÜVEN provided information about the establishment of LojiDer, its activities, key priorities, and ongoing projects.

During the meeting, potential areas of cooperation aimed at the development of the logistics sector were discussed, along with an exchange of views on strengthening Türkiye’s position in international logistics and ensuring more effective integration of different modes of transportation.

The meeting also addressed Railport’s contributions to Türkiye’s logistics infrastructure and international trade connections. Established through a partnership between Arkas Holding and Duisport, Germany’s largest inland port operator, Railport was evaluated as a strategic bridge between Asia and Europe, strengthening Türkiye’s position within global logistics supply chains.

Located in Kartepe on an area of 265,000 square meters, Railport brings different modes of transportation together at a single hub through the integration of rail and road transport, while combining the strategic advantages offered by the Middle Corridor and Silk Road routes with global trade.

With an annual handling capacity of 360,000 TEU of containers, 1.5 million tons of general cargo, 130,000 finished vehicles, and 125,000 trailers, as well as 20,000 square meters of covered storage space, Railport makes a significant contribution to increasing Türkiye’s speed, capacity, and competitiveness in intercontinental transportation.

Following the meeting between LojiDer and Railport regarding the needs and development areas of the logistics sector, potential opportunities for cooperation were further evaluated.
