The "Coordination Meeting on Facilitating Visa Procedures for Professional Drivers," organized by the General Directorate of Transport Services Regulation of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey, was held in Ankara on October 15, 2025, under the moderation of Mr. Hasan BOZ, Head of the Department of International Relations of the General Directorate of Transport Services Regulation of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. Attendees included Mr. Hakan ETKİN, Head of the Visa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey; Mr. Ahmet Selçuk NALBAT, Head of the Department of Institutional Relations with the EU and Agriculture of the General Directorate of International Agreements and EU of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey; Mr. M. Serkan BURALI, Head of the Department of Logistics and Transportation Services of the General Directorate of International Trade in Services; Mr. Can ÖZKAYNAK, Head of the Department of Transportation and Systems of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey; Mr. Dr. Kayıhan Özdemir TURAN, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Logistics Service Providers Association (LojiDer); Mr. Tolga MAMAKLI and Mr. Serdar BEYOĞLU, LojiDer members; and officials from UND and UTİKAD. At the meeting, views were exchanged on the problems experienced by professional drivers in visa procedures and proposed solutions to streamline these processes.
