The Logistics Service Providers Association (LojiDer) attended the TOBB Turkey Transportation and Logistics Council Meeting.
The Logistics Service Providers Association (LojiDer) attended the Transportation and Logistics Council Meeting held at the TOBB Service Building in Istanbul on September 26, 2025. Attendees included Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (UAB) Mr. Durmuş ÜNÜVAR; TOBB Board Vice President Mr. Tamer KIRAN; Assembly President Mr. Şerafettin ARAS; LojiDer Board President Mr. Dr. Kayıhan Özdemir TURAN; relevant department heads from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure; heads of NGOs representing the logistics sector; and representatives of logistics service providers and stakeholder companies.
The meeting addressed current developments, existing problems, and proposed solutions in the transportation and logistics sectors.
• LojiDer emphasized the following issues at the meeting:
• *Audit processes for authorization documents,
• *Senders are jointly and severally liable if they do not organize transportation with authorized companies,
• *Adding the relevant authorization document requirement to new company establishments,
• *Driver visas,
• *Applying customs seals to heavy transport vehicles carrying out oversize shipments when loading standard cargo for exports,
• *Determining domestic container block train schedules for rail transportation,
• *Conducting special pricing and studies to ensure that empty containers can be transported with loaded services,
• *Regularly publishing the monthly cargo and container statistics published by the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs for maritime transportation, as well as for air, road, and rail,
• *Evaluating Turkey's signing of the "Artemis Accords."
The swift implementation of the issues emphasized by all participants regarding the development of the logistics sector will strengthen the sustainable and competitive structure of our sector.
