As the Logistics Service Providers Association (LojiDer), we participated on 17 June 2026 in the "From Fields to the Future: Istanbul Vocational and Technical Education Fields Workshop" organized by the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education at Istinye University, representing the logistics sector in the Transportation Services field. During the workshop, current educational processes, priority issues, and recommendations were evaluated at dedicated tables established for each vocational field, with contributions from school principals, provincial branch heads, field coordinators, psychological counselors/guidance teachers, academics, and industry representatives serving in Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools. Representing the private sector at the Transportation Services table, moderated by Mr. Ahmet UBAY, Principal of Mehmet Emin Horoz Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, were Ms. Demet TUNA DÖNDERLER, Human Resources Manager of TAV Private Security Services Inc.; Dr. Kayıhan Özdemir TURAN, Chairman of the Board of LojiDer; Mr. Burhan ÇAKAN, Member of the Board of LojiDer; and Ms. Gurbet URTEKİN ÇELİK, Member of LojiDer. During the workshop, participants evaluated the current status of the Transportation Services field in Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools across Istanbul, its development potential, alignment with industry needs, student internship and employment opportunities, the level of preference for the field, challenges encountered, and proposed solutions.
