As the Logistics Service Providers Association (LojiDer), we participated in the “Sector–Curriculum Evaluation Workshop for the Logistics Field,” held on June 2, 2026, at Mehmet Emin Horoz Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School within the scope of the cooperation protocol between the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education and LojiDer.

The workshop brought together department heads and teachers from Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools in Istanbul that provide education in the Logistics branch of the Transportation Services field, as well as company owners and executives from LojiDer member companies. Discussions focused on evaluating the current curriculum in line with industry expectations, developing recommendations for training the qualified workforce required by the sector, and strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and the logistics industry.

Participants included Mr. Tuncay OTAY and Dr. Beyazıt Bestami YÜKSEL, Project Coordinators of the Vocational and Technical Education Department of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education; Dr. Kayıhan Özdemir TURAN, Chairman of the Board of LojiDer; Ms. Serap GÖKSOY, Member of the Board of LojiDer; LojiDer members Ms. Tuba KIRKOÇ, Mr. Cengiz PEKSOY, Ms. Gurbet URTEKİN ÇELİK, Mr. Caner TAN, Mr. Vedat TUTU, Mr. Birol ORTAYAKALI, and Mr. Mehmet Yavuz KANKAVİ; as well as Mr. Ahmet UBAY, Principal of Mehmet Emin Horoz Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Vice Principal Mr. Harun DOĞAN, and representatives from numerous schools.

During the meeting, participants discussed a wide range of topics, including the structuring of logistics education around specialized fields, the enhancement of practical training processes, the wider implementation of master instructor certification, train-the-trainer programs, online textbook development, the integration of digitalization and technological transformation into the curriculum, and the strengthening of internship and employment processes.

As LojiDer, we will continue to establish strong partnerships between educational institutions and the logistics sector, contribute to curriculum development initiatives, and support the preparation of young people for successful careers in the industry by equipping them with the knowledge and skills required by the logistics sector.
