The Logistics Service Providers Association (LojiDer) was established on October 30, 2023.
October 30, 2023 holds significant importance for LojiDer.
Exactly 100 years ago, on October 30, 1923, the first parliament convened, just one day after the declaration of the Republic of Turkey, founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades on October 29, 1923.
October 30, 2023 marks the first day of the second century of the Republic of Turkey, which has stood on the strong foundations of Atatürk's ideals for a century and will continue to do so forever.
Founded to serve our country's economy, social life, and sector development in the second century of the centennial oak tree that is the Republic of Turkey, LojiDer brings together all service providers in the logistics concept, both nationally and internationally, under one roof. As of July 2, 2024, LojiDer has reached 300 corporate members.
Representing logistics services in our country's 81 provinces on a national and international scale, LojiDer has members in 25 provinces.
LojiDer members represent every aspect of logistics services. They include corporate firms providing services in road, sea, rail, and air transportation, storage, order and inventory management, value-added services, surveillance, security, fumigation, customs consultancy, insurance services in the logistics field, and hold at least one authorization certificate.
In 2023, LojiDer members contributed approximately $1.6 billion to the national economy and provided employment for approximately 7,600 people.
15% of this employment consists of women, with a total of 21 female drivers employed.
LojiDer became a member of the European Logistics Association (ELA) on February 19, 2024. Founded in 1984, ELA accepted LojiDer's membership application 40 years later to represent Turkey's logistics sector.
The Logistics Service Providers Association, with its culture and ideal of working together with Civil Society Organizations operating in both the logistics sector and other sectors, as well as public and local institutions and organizations, will lead activities aimed at developing the logistics sector to create a strong logistics ecosystem regionally and globally.
